Lunch Bag Friday- Trick or Treat!

Silly me forgot to post last week... oops. :)
Here were the Lunch Bag Friday Sacks for October 25th.  Seth has been working crazy overtime hours, finishing up animation on the movie Rio 2.  By the time he gets home at night we have about an hour to play with him and then he's out like a light just to wake at 5am and start the next day.  He came up with an awesome solution to be able to still give his girlies some loves, but not be up all night drawing....  He found some old artwork that he had made a few years ago and printed them onto white lunch sacks.  The girls loved them and Seth was a well-rested daddy/animator. :)  win win

Here are today's Lunch Bag Friday sacks
and possibly the last Halloweeny drawings he'll make this year. (tear)  :)
I just want to hug that sad little vampire.  Our oldest dressed up as a vampire this year for Halloween so she claimed this sack to bring to school.  She said he was mourning over her- of course.   Love it.

This other sack is another reference to Disney's Haunted Mansion stretching portraits, only Seth replaced the usual tightrope ballerina with ME!  :0)  I can't wait frame it and put it alongside the other haunted mansion picture of our girls in the quicksand.  He's so cool. :)   It makes me happy to see those ballet shoes on my feet in the picture.  I was a dancer from the age of 3 on until I really messed up one of my knees in high school and needed a few surgeries.  It's been a hard thing to let go of.   I always say I'll be dancing in heaven when everything broken is fixed again.  This particular sack is a sweet present to me along with my girls.

Here's the framed "Quick Sand" one.
It's on our coffee table in our music room waiting for it's friend the "Tight Rope Ballerina" to join it.

Did you have fun trick or treating last night?  We sure did!
Here's a pic I took of our group with some family friends before they trekked through the rain and were filled with too much candy.  Seth kills me with his silly Edward Scissor Hands expression. lol

And here are some photos of our girls before they went to a Halloween party at Seth's work a few nights ago.  Do they know how to get into character or what?  We're just a tad dramatic around here.

She actually helped sew this vampire costume last year and it still fit.  It turned out so awesome she decided to go another year in it.   I love how quickly she is picking up sewing.  It'll be so fun for her to express herself and wear her creations all her life.  (such a proud mommy)  :)

Uh- wow!  She's gonna give me nightmares!  hahahaha  A few people asked if she was a zombie pilgrim.  lol  So in case you can't tell she's "Wednesday" from The Addam's Family.

Our little sweet little Pippy ghost wanted to be a character from a story that we've been telling her since she was 2-  the ghost with a black eye.  As the story goes a family is scared to discover a ghost in their house except for the littlest girl, named Penelope, who tells the ghost to get lost or she'll give him another black eye.  hahaha  She slipped just before the picture was taken and was crying and rubbed off her black eye though. hahaha  We sewed this costume for her big sister a few years ago so it was nice to just pull it out of the costume closet and not be sewing like a mad-woman the night before.   Here's a well loved lunch sack from near the beginning of when Seth was drawing them for the kids (a few years old) of the ghost with a black eye.

We had some friends stick around last night to sing silly camp fire songs with the guitar that have the words changed to disgusting Halloween kind of lyrics (like "My Body Lies Over the Ocean" and "Do Your Guts Hang Low"  and  "Blow Blow Blow Your Nose"  etc.  It was so fun.  One of the families that came by last night is all boys and they create animation shorts like our girls love to (but they are MUCH MUCH better)  hahaha.  You should check out their awesome site- Animations Chefs.  They created a special one just for Halloween and shot footage at the Old Dutch Church and Cemetery in Sleepy Hollow where Washington Irving is buried who created the story about the famous Headless Horseman. (One of my favorite places to visit)  Here's a link... http://www.animationchefs.com/animation-chefs-halloween-special/   You'll seriously LOVE these guys and want to get into stop motion animation yourself!

Well with all that Halloween out of our system  (sort of)  I guess it's onto Thanksgiving   .... And just so you can see we are a pretty normal crew usually...    We hope you had a lot of fun last night and aren't sick from eating too much candy!  We secretly throw out bits of everyone's piles everyday to help it disappear quicker.   shhhhh   Don't tell our girls.        I know... we're evil.  :)
